MCU port consumption

Hi all,

When we make one call to MSE8510 working in SD mode, 2 Media port licenses are used.

(Home > Status > Conferences  "Video ports in use" becomes 2).

I guess one Media port license is for the call, and another is reserved for presentation(H.239).

That means at least 2  Media port licenses will be used for one conference even if presentation(H.239) may not be used in this conference.

For me it seems not flexible.

Is it possible to assign available Media port license for video port unless we set "Content mode" disable?

Best Regards,

Kotaro Hashimoto

Unless Content mode configured as “Disable” or “Passthrough”, MCU will “reserve” video resource while conference is active making sure content share can be use any time of conference call.

Hi Taniguchi-san,

Thank you for your information.

I hope this will be revised in future software update.
