Movi With Domain

Hi,

One of our client , dont have any DNS server in house , no Domain also and likely to use Cisco Movi

Any suggestion on TMS agent data  replication, Is possible any ways got VCS X7.1 and TMS 13.2  in place

I am not really sure if I understand the question correctly but are you asking if it is possible to enable TMS agent data replication witht having DNS service running at all?

if that is the case then - no, it is not going to be possible.

I tried to make one entry in Host life of TMS server

"C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc"

it works without domain both Movi and end points are getting registered and working fine .

Even if this works now its not a guarantee it will work stable (assuming you are using tms agent legacy). Using hosts files
to replace DNS service is not a good solution. I have seen custimers do this and their provisioning setup has failed horribly after some time of operation. If this is a production i would consider moving to TMSPE, tmsagent legacy is
somewhat depending on DNS.
