Hello folks,
I need your help.
We are building a new cisco video conference environment. Our client wants to use multicast in the MCU 4515 to reduce the network traffic. But the problem is: Looking at MCU configuration, I find only option to configure multicast to video streaming, I don't find option to use multicast also to the codecs which will be in the conference.
Is possible use multicast in MCU 4515 to all video conference traffic coming out from MCU (including Streaming and "H323 terminals" connected)?? Or is it only possible with regards Streaming traffic?
Can anybody here help me?
Thanks
Paulo Souza

Hi Paulo,
multicast only applies for streaming. Endpoints/devices connecting to a conference would have to connect on SIP or H323.
