natting and standalone video conference units?

do natting cause issues with standalone video conference unit in regards of making video calls??? some guy told me it is better to give them public ip address instead of natting through the firewall?

Natting is best instead of directly provide public ip to any VC unit becoz of security violation.

There are several discussions regarding this around the forums, if you search for "standalone" and "unknown calls" to get an idea why putting the endpoint directly on the public internet is a very bad idea.  As Gomzy mentions, it leaves the endpoint exposed and can cause you a lot of issues down the road trying to mitigate toll fraud.
