Netmeeting - Cisco Gatekeeper

Hi guys,

I'm very new to Video Conferencing, so here is my question.

We have quite a few sites using Net meeting but it has no CAC, so i wanted to know if it was possible to run a gateway or something on their local router that will talk back to a centralized Gatekeeper for CAC.

I'm not sure if this is possible but most of the doco i have seen on Gatekeeper talks about ISDN etc... we wont be using any ISDN or POTS, its all over our IP Network.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Yes, you can register NetMeeting with a gatekeeper as an H.323 client. Take a look at the following link. It does not describe NetMeeting with gatekeeper specifically, but does describe using NetMeeting with an IOS gateway. It also does show the option in NetMeeting for using a gatekeeper.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk1077/technologies_configuration_example09186a00800b4c4a.shtml

If you search for "Netmeeting gatekeeper" on CCO, you will see other links referencing this configuration.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.
