Network config to provide TMS phonebook server for external endpoints

We have VCS Control and TMS in LAN and VCS Expressway on public IP with 2 external Cisco endpoints registered. On these external devices I would like to setup phonebook sync from TMS. Please let me know what ports or SRV records has to be configured on the network to provide phonebook (provisioning is not required) to the registered external endpoints.

What type of EPs are they? Are the EPs being directly managed by the TMS...meaning you've added them to the TMS, or provisioned by TMSPE since we're talking VCSs?

SX20 EPs on customer's LAN registered to our VCSE. On TMS I cannot add them since they do not have public IP address. Do I need TMSPE to add the system to TMS which is registered to VCS? Does it require additional licence?

Forget about TMSPE since your obvoiusly not using that solution to provision these two EPs.

However, and let me get this straight now since you mention "our VCSE", and that is that the TMS and VCSs are yours while the two EPs are someone else's which is in their LAN registered to your VCSE.

If what I say is correct, and the fact you can't directly manage the EPs on "your" TMS, then I'm afraid your out of luck.

Are you a Service Provider? For example, is that why they are registering their EPs to your VCSE?

Since we can provide TMS phonebook for Jabber Video clients registered through VCSE then I assumed same can be achieved with SX20 EPs as well with configuring TMS as the Phonebook server in SX20 config. Standard provisioning of device configuration is not required, just the phonebook.

But your using the TMSPE Provisioning Solution to provision your Jabber Video clients, that's why you get the PBs for your JV clients, i.e. your provisioning the PB to them. Your not doing that for these EPs. Your simply registering them to your VCSE so that they can make calls. However, and since they are not provisioned by the TMSPE Provisioning Solution or directly managed in TMS, then I'm afraid no PB support, at least from TMS or TMSPE Provisioning Solution point of view.

Actually, if I can chime in here, and if what I understand is correct, you would need to publish your internal TMS to the Internet (NATing from an external IP to the internal IP), add the endpoint to TMS as "Behind Firewall", and if the external endpoint has http/https access to that external IP address, you should be able to retrieve phonebook data from the TMS.

These EPs are not in his TMS, see his earlier comment:

Obviously if they were, I wouldn't of said what I said...I haven't completely lost it

However, what Zac is suggesting could be possible...if the EPs have this access and he can configure his TMS this way. I was assuming from that statement above that this wasn't possible. But you know what they say about assumptions

Exactly this is what I would like to achieve to publish our TMS with configuring NAT on our network so that SX20 units can connect to it with entering server url on the phonebook field. My original question is related to the network configuration has to be done to do this. Do I need anything else then http/https? Any other ports, SRV records?

In any case, http/https is all you need but this fairly covered in the Cisco TMS Admin doc (page 71) - Adding EPs behind the FW/NAT:
