Phone book Server 1 URL

All,

I have noticed on several TMS deployments that TMS keeps pushing the IPv4 address to all the endpoints for their Phone book server 1 URL field, instead of the FQDN.

I have verified that under Admin Tools, Network Settings, Advanced Network Settings for LAN has both the IPv4 & correct FQDN in there.

Also all the codecs have the FQDN for the external manager, but the IP for the phone book.

Finally I made sure that that FQDN is resolvable from the codecs themselves.

How can I get TMS to push the FQDN for the phone book server 1 URL field instead of the IP of TMS?

Are these systems behind firewall? You noticed are two fields for the tms addres:

Advanced Network Settings for Systems on Internal LAN

TMS Server Fully Qualified Host Name

and

Advanced Network Settings for Systems on Public Internet/Behind Firewall

you could also check if you have a template where you set the phonebook address as an ip
(especially the auto discover one or a persistant one)
On the other hand you can also try to use the persistant template to set your dns entry if its some kind of bug you hit

Since you have already checked all the settings I would suggest you to check ensure that the 'Enforce Management Settings on Systems' to Yes.

You can find this setting in the Network Settings.
