Redundancy for Dir GK

I'm designing a new solution for a customer where i want to ensure there is redundancy for my "Directory Gatekeepers". What methods of redundancy works best for Directory Gatekeeper? Is HSRP good or Alternate Gatekeeper better?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

the main difference I see is that with HSRP no Load balancing takes place. The GK which is active for the HSRP group will handle all requests. Also afaik the active GK has to be active for all common HSRP groups. With Ciscos enhancements to the GK function and design load sharing is possible.
