Hi Community

Could you please help me to understand how can I connect a Cisco Table Microphone Pro (CS-MIC-ARRAY-T) in a Room Bar, if the Room Bar doesn´t have ethernet port for mic??

Thank you for your support

Regards

Connect the Room Navigator and Table Microphone Pro to a PoE switch that is uplinked to the link local port of the Room Bar. Ethernet microphones will not work over the LAN port. Be careful to use a switch that supports multicast and provides an IGMP querier function; AES67 requires it. Cisco has been pointing customers to their Catalyst 1300 series, usually the C1300-8FP-2G. You’re not required to use their switch but it avoids any finger pointing in a support case IMO. See the config guide if you go that route.

And @mhaince11 If you’re also using a Room Bar it only supports a single Ethernet microphone.

i have this problem too. I have two of those mics and they are connected to through a network port on the wall. These mics and our Cisco Room Bar are on the same VLAN.

How do i configure this mic to be connected to Room Bar?

thanks for your reply, @Jonathan Schulenberg . "Ethernet microphones will not work over the LAN port." - i see.. so they're not gonna work even if they are on the same VLAN?

Correct. Link local interface only.

The CBS250 series, I believe, meets those requirements.  Will one of those work?

Yes if properly configured per the guide I linked to above.
