Does anyone have any experience sending one cisco microphone to three different codecs via the 3.5 mini plug? The scenario I am considering is having three codecs on three diffeent classifications and only one codec is powered on at any given time. I wonder if I can send my Cisco table microphones to three different EQ codecs through three mini-plug 1 to 3 connectors. If this works in combination with a quad camera there is no need to buy 3rd party mics, speakers, DSP, amplifier, etc, as well as an AV bridge for web conferencing.

Electrically this is going to be an issue. Which codec provides the power to the microphone? Which one does the mute button work with? You might be able to get away with using a switch to manually switch the microphones between codecs (ie something like this one). Or, for the small amount of cost, and not a considerable amount of additional desk space, perhaps just having three microphones may be an easier option.

Hi Wayne,
The codecs are programmed through PDUs so only one is on at any time. When one is on the other two are off. The codec that is on provides the power and the microphone functions.
