Hi.
We have now more and more feedback from our customers that they would appreciate, that the speakertrack cameras are not active during a presentation only. Many visitors are not happy staring into cameras when there is no need. Especially when they are government (what a surprise...). .
I also don't see a need to have the cameras on their feet as long you don't use the dial function.
Any of you out there that may see it the same way?
Cheers
Danny

What software version are you running?
Upgrading to TC7.3 might of interest to you. They added a function where the codec will not wake up if the selected content input is set to manual.
See the TC7 Release Notes, bottom of pg 16 under "General Improvements".
"xConfiguration Video Input Connector <X>PresentationSelection: Manual” will no longer cause the system to wake from standby even if a signal is detected.

Thanks, Pat.
That sounds interesting. When we had the first complaints, 7.3 was not released.
So we only can hope that the websnapshot topic will be fixed, since many of my large customers want to check with their AV teams that the room is ok.
But I will definitely compare.
Cheers

Looking at the web interface and API, they have a typo in the release notes for the command, should be this instead: xConfiguration Video Input Source [#] PresentationSelection.
When you think about it, that feature isn't that sound. Because the input is set to manual, the codec won't display the content on it's own, it will require some sort of user interaction either by the remote control or touch panel. Just picking up the remote will wake the system, much less a button press.
Keep in mind, I haven't tested this feature yet. :)
