SX10 - QoS markings & bandwidth per call?

Hi all,

I have been digging around in the documentation, but I can't find any definitive answers:

1. if I set DCSP in the SX10 endpoint web gui such that video & audio DSCPs are 0, does this override the DSCP settting in 'system > service parameters > callmanager > 'Clusterwide parameters (System - QoS)'???

'DSCP for Video Calls' is DSCP 34= AF41 by default

2.  what is the default DSCP that will be set on RTP video/audio packets sent by the SX10?

3. looking at the SX10 Quick Set guide I can expect a 1080p at 30fps to consume approx 3-4Mbps depending on the motion handling. Is that about right??

thanks very much in advance.

I'm not very familiar with CUCM yet, but I'll try to answer your question regarding the SX10.

  1. If you input your own values in the SX10 web interface, it will override the values assigned to it by CUCM.
  2. I believe QoS is off by default with 0 values, but I'm not able to verify this at this moment.
  3. Correct, depends on the amount of motion and quality of the lighting in the room.  You could possibly reduce the amount of bandwidth required by adjusting the "Optimal definition profile", see the SX10 Admin Guide on pg 113.

thanks very much for your help.

No problem, don't forget to mark your question as answered if you don't need anything else to help others that might come behind you with the same issue.
