This is by design, when a touch panel is paired to an endpoint, it disables the interactive OSD menu that is used by the remote because all control is then supposed to be done using the touch panel and not the remote control.

If you want to use the remote control again, you will need to disconnect the touch panel from the SX20.  However, if you want to use both the touch panel and remote control, using the web interface set the following option:

  • Experimental SystemUnit MenuType: Interactive

The experimental settings are hidden in the web interface, but if you search for "experimental", they'll appear.

is this applicable for the C40 as well ?

I am not able to found this option under the C40.

Yes, the Experimental > SystemUnit > MenuType should be available on the C40 (assuming you're running a current software version).

You do not see it automatically, but if you go to the Configuration > System Configuration screen on the web interface, then type Experimental in to the Search box, the settings will become available on the screen.   If you scroll down almost all the way to the bottom, you will see the MenuType setting.

Hey Wayne, Yes - it works. also you can just type in the search barre # Menu# and it will bring you straight to Experimental, There you can make the change under SystemUnit MenuType.

Thanks for your quick response.
