SX20 use touch panel and remote control at the same time

Dear all,

I want to use the touch panel and the remote control at the same time on an SX20. As far as I found out this should be possible with the following setting on the codec:

  • Experimental SystemUnit MenuType: Interactive

Unfortunately I can´t find that setting - here a screenshot what I can find if I search for Experimental.

In general we use the normal Cisco touch panel - but at the moment I am testing some things with the remote control and for me it is not possible to use the remote control. I removed the touch panel - restarted the system and the codec tells me pick up your remote control - but it does not recognize the remote control.

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,
Luise

Luise,

You cannot use the remote control and the Touch at the same time.

What version of software are you running on the codec?  What version remote do you have?

Thank you,

Dear Justin,

what a pity that both is not working.

We use TRC6 and CE9.2.1 or CE9.2.3 - with both I had the problem that the TRC6 was not recognized after I had connected the cisco touch panel. What are the exact steps to get the TRC running again?
Is it enough if I disconnect the touch panel from network or must I remove it on the peripherals section on the codec and then try to use the remote control?

Best regards,
Luise

The remote control should work once you disconnect the Touch 10, though you may have to remove it from the peripherals page of the web interface, and/or restart the endpoint. In the past, simply disconnecting the Touch 10 was enough.

Dear Patrick,

unfortunately there is no way that we get it running again - only getting back to 9.1.x release. Do you know if there is a setting on the codec which can prevent the usage of remote control? Or a setting on the CUCM?

we disconnected it - did not work

we removed it from peripherals on the codec - did not work

we restarted - did not work

we shut down / started up - did not work

Luise
