SX80 Codec Outputs

Hello everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has had luck with the SX80 codec and getting it to display on multiple screens.  I have a VTC room setup with 2 diplays but when in a VTC the codec always defaults to only using one screen at a time.  i would like to use it as one screen for near-end and one screen for distance end.  That's the normal typically but I haven't found an option yet that allows me to do so.  Anyone with suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jerrick,

The SX80 codec have 3 video ouputs (2xHDMI, 1xDVI) and you can connect up to 3 displays with different video output. For example on one screen is the farend, second is local video, and third is for the presentation. It depends on how you configure the codec to assign the video outputs on the displays.

If you have 2 displays connected to the codec and you want to display different outputs on them, the codec should be configured with dual monitor setting.

Take a look this document under page 121 and refer to Video Monitors.

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/sx-series/tc7/administration-guide/sx80-administrator-guide-tc73.pdf

Also under page 123 and refer to Video Output Connector [1..3] MonitorRole to assign the video output on specific video output connector of the codec.

Thank you, I think that may have worked.  I tested it in my test bay area, but I will still need to try it at an activite site next.
