looking for information on a fix for keeping an SX80 serial com port from changing after reboots. I want it to stay on 9600. However it keeps changing to 115.200 and at that speed, it seems un-reliable and has errors in the command strings. Either a fix for re-liable comms at 115.200 or a way to make the serial port persistent at 9600 would help me out.

How do you have the SX80 deployed, is it managed by either TMS or CUCM? After you change the baud rate on the COM port, do you see anything in the endpoint logs (all.log) of what could be changing it back, should see the source IP of the device that is changing it?

You can set the baud rate to 9600 via the CLI with the following command:
xConfiguration SerialPort BaudRate: 9600
I just tested this here in my lab using an SX80 running TC7.3.4 and it stayed at 9600 after the system was rebooted.
*Note: The default baud rate is 115200, and we recommend keeping it at that speed due to the amount of feedback the SX80 returns.
