Tandberg/Cisco EX Series "You are being watched" Eyeball Icon appeared

Anyone else's EX series endpoint running TC7.3.21 (Most Current) get an "Eyeball" Icon with a message that the Admin is viewing your endpoint? This appeared on all our EX series endpoints 12/13/2024. We don't have the Remote Monitoring Key enabled on these endpoints.

Did we get a Tandberg easter egg?

We have also factory defaulted one of the units, and the Icon is there upon the reboot in a factory default state.

We just pulled a unit that hadn't been online for a while, put it on a VLAN that blocked Internet/NTP access. No Eye-con. When we released it to the Internet, the Eye-con appeared.

I remember seeing this on an older firmware release, but only when the Remote Monitoring Option Key had been installed and the webUI of the EX90 was accessed.   I don't have any left to test with as the EX90s went end of support and became obsolete on 31 August 2022.  Regardless of your issue (sorry, I can't help), it would be highly recommended that you upgrade to a current and supportable device (such as the Webex Desk Series) for any long-term plans.

Thanks for your reply, and the suggestion, but when the workhorse continues working...

We have the same problem.
We also found out that this is a date-dependent problem.
When we entered a modified NTP that transmits the year 2023, the faulty display disappeared.

Could possibly be related to the Xmas theme that was set to display at this time of year on some devices (there was an older one that also displayed an R2D2 on the screen on May the Fourth).  So possibly due to the date, and a bug in that old software that shows the eye icon instead of doing something christmassy.   It may go away at the end of the month.

An this morning, it is gone!

Strangely enough, the error still exists for us.
I don't quite understand what the difference is here. The firmware version is the same.
We will continue to monitor the matter.

Hello, I can confirm the problem on 2 EX90 units. One I use on my desk, the secons one I keep for presentations. Both have NTP, are allowed to send/receive on the 10.0/8 network but NOT on the Internet.
