Dears,
I am new to TCS and VCS, i want to implement TCS which will receive stream from TP endpoint and it will push to appspace and then to DMP,
I am actually confuse in how many different scenarios we can use VCS, and which are the different device that it can inter operate. I want to learn first how VCS works without CUCM.??and what type of devices it can register by which protocol.??
Thanks

The only distribution outputs the TCS can support are:
Can see more details in the TCS 6.x Admin Guide on understanding distributions outputs.
As far as a comparison of VCS or CUCM, someone else that knows CUCM more in-depth than I do would have to help there.

The TCS supports the usage of the API, so depending on what you need, it might be possible with some effort.

The VCS can handle h323 and sip, registrations, calls and the translation in between both.
CUCM is today more or less SIP-Centric, but you can combine it with the VCS or EXPRESSWAY.
For more info there, search a bit here in the board or via google.
Please keep this thread TCS only and if you still wonder about VCS vs. CUCM open a new
