On the Cisco SX10 Quickset unit, it can operate fine without an external microphone. It has one built into the all-in-one unit. However if the CTS-QSC20-MIC (External Microphone) is hooked up, does the built-in microphone continue to work as a second mic or does it get disabled?
Also, what part number for Software Updates would we purchase for the SX10. We don't need hardware support at all, I just want major and minor firmware updates.
Thank you,
Lucas

Hello Lucas
Several mics works together for Cisco C-Series and MXP-series endpoints .
I think for SX10 behaviour same.
SX10 Q&A writes: "The optional Table Microphone 20 can be used to improve audio pickup ".
CON-ECDN-CTSSX10. This service includes hw and sw. I do not see a service cheaper than this service.

Thanks for the quick responses guys.
Follow-up question: I hear that the SX10 product is now replaced with an SX10N which essentially is identical expect that the Quickset has something built-in now to emit the Intelligent Proximity 'pairing' frequency without the need to use external speakers to generate the sound.
Is the CON-ECDN-CTSSX10 still the right part number for the cheap SmartNet? My vendor quoted a CON-ECDNCTSSX1NK part number. Curious what the difference might be?

The Microphone will continue to work as a second mic.
