I am scheduling conferences via TMS with an MCU bridge. After adding multiple participants to the conference and changing to the "Connection Settings" tab it automatically adds the MCU due to the need for bridging. Then i see it chooses how to connect the units based on what Type of conference (Auto Connect, Manual Connect, etc). When doing No Connect or having external participants who will dial in, it chooses the first conference number available that i supposed "TMS knows about". In my case it is choosing 1100. I have participants from a CallManager dialing into the bridge, but extension 1100 already exists in CallManager. The SIP trunk we created between CUCM and VCS was for the range of numbers 448x not 1100. How do we control what numbers it chooses so that it is in the correct range?
Furthermore if we book 5 participants, and in the middle of the conference they want to add a 6th participant, how would users go about adding an additional participant to the call? If the users were all automatically connected, they would not know what conference number was chosen by TMS to be used. Sometimes we have the need for outside vendors to dial into the bridge, but they would not have told us while booking the conference (our helpdesk handles all bookings), so then they end up having to use a desk phone to dial to someone and have it on speak, which is a terrible experience for the users.

In System Navigator for that bridge, goto the Settings view, and then the Extended Settings tab. There you will see settings to control the first Numeric ID TMS uses and what step value (jump between IDs) to use for scheduled calls.

To have true resource reservation, the participant must be added to the call via any of the ways they can reach TMS. By editing the existing meeting through their scheduling portal, outlook, etc.. or via Conference Control Center.
