Just to add my 2cents worth here
Wayne's last question is certainly relevant...meaning if this is the case...then your in a TMS Redundant setup using TMS Appliance boxes pointing to one TMS db (tmsng), meaning your SQL would be off the TMS Appliance boxes. If they're not, then you obviously have multiple and separate TMS servers, i.e. one TMS application per db. Also, if your utilizing TMSPE, then you'll need to back up this sql db as well (tmspe) and migrate it appropriately as well.
In any case, and depending on what you do have, will depend on how your proceed. In addtion, and because TMS Appliance serial numbers begin with 80Bxxxxx and the TMS software only serial numbers begin with 80Axxxx and because you migrating from a TMS Appliance to TMS softwared only and utilizing you own boxes, then you will need to do 2 things to have your option keys (licenses) moved from the existing TMS Server Appliance to the Software-only version:
1. Purchase CTI-TMS-SW-K9. Once you receive a new serial number that denotes it's a sw-only application (not an applicance), then open an SR to TAC.
2. TAC will then escalate this to our GLO (Global Licensing Operations) to re-host the option keys from old serial number to new serial number.
Keep in mind, you need to do this procedure since this is the only way to generate a new serial number with correct service pricing. The TMS Server Appliance costs more in maintenance and as you will no longer be using the appliance, then you should be charged only for what they are using
