touch 8 will not authenticate

Hi All

I have a new sx 20 ( 7.3) and a touch 8 that refuse to authenticate the username and password

I have two consecutive addresses set via dhcp and the gatekeeper mode is set to direct.

I also have SSH turned on

I can telnet SSH and web into the codec using the default username of admin with no password

Why will the touch 8 not authenticate

PS i have tried creating an account with the username of admin1 and a password of password but this too failed to let me hook the touch 8 to the sx20

Has the SX20 ever had a Touch 8 paired with it before?

Are you trying to directly pair the Touch 8, or over LAN?

When you are connecting the Touch Panel through the LAN, it communicates and pairs with the codec on the Telnet port.  If pairing over LAN, can you turn on telnet and try again.
