Upgrading MX 800

Hi,

I want to upgrade my MX 800 endpoint to CE 8.3.2 in order to have proximity support. The problem is that I have an SX 80 that it is integrated with Crestron and I need to keep it on the TC 7.3.3 code.

I see that the SX series endpoints are part of the this software bundle (s52020ce8_3_2.pkg). I want to know if I can change the firmware load for this SX 80 to the TC 7.3.3 code after I upload the new software to call manager or should I make the change before hand?

Again, the software package I will be using is "s52020ce8_3_2.pkg".

Here is the link: https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286248450&softwareid=280886992&release=7.1.4

Thanks for any help!

You won't be able to change the software version for endpoints in CUCM until you upload the software package to the TFTP server, afterward its been uploaded and TFTP has been restarted (if needed) you can adjust the default software version for your SX80. By the way, I recommend you upgrade to CE9 software, unless there is some reason that would prevent you from upgrading to that release, like your SX80 is running on TC software.
