Upgrading Software on VC devices such as SX20, Spark room kit etc

Hi All

Quick question, if I upgrade the device pack for vc devices on my CUCM, will this upgrade the software on the VC devices, OR can you only do this from the device itself or TMS?

Hello,

You can choose any of the methods all will work:-)

if you wanted it through CUCM check in that device pack what is the firmware versions for these device and once you upgrade probably device defaults will be updated and it will upgrade the device once it is rebooted.

Note for this your VC endpoints should be provisioned with CUCM.

The Device Pack doesn't actually contain VC firmware, you need to download the .cop file for the firmware separately. You can either get a firmware .cop file for all Telepresence devices (SX/MX/Room Kit etc) or you can get a version for a specific device (e.g. SX20).
