Recently we began installing the newer C series codecs for the US Army. But we have a couple of issues that we need to know if it is at other DOD sites.
1. Using the ISDN Link module we have issues connecting to the DVS-G hub sites since Cisco did not include the G.728 audio standard in the Link software. So we cannot auto negotiate with the DVS-G sites who only use G.728 (yes hard to believe on both sides but true)
2. We are also having issues with the fact that you cannot easily set the C series to a fixed audio and/or video standards using the remote or web interface. I understand you can do it by telnet and using the Experimental section, but they do not publish the API for that feature.
Does any one else have these problems and have you found a fix?

If you're running a newer version of dirmware (ie TC6.2) on your C Series endpoints, you can set the capset filter via the web interface (in the Experimental section) as well as via telnet/ssh. There's some quick info on using the filter at https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-16106.

I don't have a complete list, but there's a few examples mentioned in the TelePresence Endpoint Technical Handbook located at: https://supportforums.cisco.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadBody/15643-102-3-64973/TelePresence%20Endpoint%20Technical%20Handbook.pdf

Thanks Wayne. I had a Cisco tech tell me about this but he didn't give me all the different command codes for each protocol. I know they don't all use their normal name. Where can I get all the codes and any other help in using the Experimental settings?

Thanks that fixes my customers problems for now. Wish Cisco hadn't complicated the settings on the C series, the MXP was really great for doing this.
