Hello,
I have two VCS Controls 7.2.2. running vitually on two separate UCS C220 M3 as part of BE6000 and two VCS Expressways 7.2.2 on appliances. All four VCSes are conistently reporting "An unexpected software error was detected in ntpq[8872]: signal 6, Aborted. I can't find any mention of this error on communities or online. Is this a bug? Can this be corrected or do I have to wait for newer version?
Thanks
Kern

Hi Kern,
did you know about the bug search tool?
https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/
Check out:
If you cant access it, this info is given:
Workaround:
This error is normally transient and can be safely ignored. The NTP program will restart.
Eventough it looks there is not much to for now, maybe you could give us some info about the following
What kind of NTP server you have configured and if you generate a lot of load / jitter on your VMs
(also if you did any overbooking). How long does it take after a reboot that the warning shows up again?
Did you try to configure a different ntp server (check out ntp.org for example for available ones for your region)
