i am testing polycom realpresence desktop with the enpoints registered to a VCS control 5.1 using h323 calls
if i use a room codec (tandberg/cisco/polycom) or an old Polycom PVX software it works when i dial
when i use that same dial string using realpresence desktop it fails.
the search history on VCS for successful calls has
alias(1)
type:h323id
value:XXXXXXX@Y.Y.Y.Y
with failed realpresence desktop
alias (1)
type:url
value:h323:XXXXXXX@Y.Y.Y.Y
i tried setting up a transform
prefix
string:h323:
strip
but no luck....
any ideas.
thank you.

Cisco very own E20 endpoint sends SIP URIs with sip: token included, so the calls fail. I see you have h323: token in the alias. If you go to search history you will see that VCS drops such URIs right away, without even trying to apply transforms I do not think the problem can be fixed on the VCS. At least not up to the version 6.1.
I just posted my problem with E20 and then noticed your message. Let's see if we can get advice from the gurus...
