Hello Team ,
Can someone clarify how should I proceed with the migration process I understand I can take a backup/restore, but it requires the Option Keys to be the same on the UCS server.
My question is how the Option Keys are going to be ready for the migration if I have to wait until the server is installed to have the MAC address to request the Option Keys.
Also I understand I need to request the following part numbers for the licensing to be re-hosted:
R-VMVCS-C-M-K9
For HW Migration to E-Delivery Virtual VCS Control Only
R-VMVCS-E-M-K9
For HW Migration to E-Delivery Virtual VCS Expressway Only
Any help will be appreciated ,
Regards,

Correct, however that was a few years ago when we did it, the process might have changed since then. Your Account Manager should be able to tell you the exact process, of get the information for you, if it's different than what I've described.

I don't know if the process is the same today, but a few years ago you'd order the VCS HW to VM migration and then send an email to Cisco with the serial numbers of the new VM VCS you're installing as well as the HW VCS you're migrating from, they'd then rehost the license keys that can be installed on the new VCS.

Thank you for your reply , yeah so I will need to build the server same ip and host , get the MAC , turn the vm off while I wait for the license.
