VCS Control Server booting issue

Dear All,

We had a recent failure in HDD  of VCS control server CTI-VCS-CONTRL-K9. We got a new HDD of 2 TB. The issue is that while in the booting it self we are receiving permission error. After the error we are getting login prompt and able to login with root. But with while login with admin we cannot provision the system. Its giving internal system error.

I would contact TAC, should probably go through them to get a replacement VCS instead of doing the repair yourself and possibly voiding your warranty, that is if the VCS has a support contract.

Hello,

A re-image is most likely necessary after replacing the HDD, this needs to be done through a USB stick and software provided by TAC.

As mention by Patrick, keep in mind that opening the VCS will effectively void the warranty so reach out to TAC if the VCS is covered under contract and has any hardware issues.

Hope this helps
