VCS de-register C40

Hi,

I've a VCS-C (ver.X6.0) which was working fine before, it's provisioned with the TMS where the movi clients are using it for calling numerous C40's for tele-teaching purposes. I'm facing a problem with the SIP registration of the C40 endpoints as it was before registering to the VCS without any problem, but now it's losing the registeration without any reason causing for disconnecting the calls after random times (15-20-30-35 minutes). I've increased the registration expiry delay on the SIP settings from 60 to 300 sec. but still the registration on the C40 is dropping when the call is established from the MOVI. in addition, I've uploaded a fresh SW of the X6.0 on the VCS, but no hope.

Any Suggestions??

I'd highly suggest you upgrade to the most recent versions of software for your TMS, VCS, and endpoints - this also might resolve your issue.  If you do upgrade your TMS and VCS, you'll also need to migrate to TMSPE for provisioning Jabber Video (Movi) users, which would move you away from the legacy TMS Agent you're currently using.  Take a look at the upgrade section of the TMS Install and Upgrade Guide, on the steps you'd have to take to upgrade your TMS which also includes migrating to TMSPE.

Regarding your issue, what is the software versions of everything you're running?  Is it just the C40s that is having this issue, any other endpoints, are they all internal or external?

Also, you should move your discussion to the TelePresence section of the forums instead of Other Video Subjects, that way others can see your question and be able to help.

Hi Patrick,

the versions are pretty old , VCS(X6.0), TMS (V13), actually i don't have any other endpoints in the network except C40! ..to have the VCS and TMS upgrade, i believe i need upgrde key which i don't have as these devices are out of warranty !..I'm thinkin' of resetting the VCS to the default...would that work?

Something came to mind as I type this, I once had a registration issue with some endpoints that were registered using SIP.  It was due to SIP Outbound being enabled, disabling resolved our issue, might work for you.  Of course, factory resetting the VCS might work as well, but if the issue has to do with it's configuration or something similar, and you restore the configuration, you're back to square one.
