VCS Expressway Certificate change

hi,

I have an old VCSE, v7.2.4, that currently has a self-signed certificate.

During a penetration test this was found to have some issues so I need to update the certificate.

Generating the CSR and applying it seem straightforward, however I also need to change the domain name of the device as the business name has change.

My question is, if I change the DNS name I assume this will invalidate the certificate so I am wondering what is the suggested order to do this?

You should change the domain name before generating the CSR, as the CSR will use the domain name configured on the VCS.  Also, suggest you check the VCS Certificate Creation and Use Deployment Guide (X7-2) in case you haven't already.
