I experienced an issue when using the API commands on a Codec Pro vie the serial port:
the command:
xCommand Phonebook Search PhonebookType: Corporate
gives this response:
*r Result (status=Error): \x0D\x0A*r Result Reason: "Unknown command"\x0D\x0A*r Result XPath: "/Phonebook/Search"\x0D\x0A** end\x0D\x0A\x0D\x0AERROR\x0D\x0A
The same command sent via SSH gives a propper response.
The Firmware is CE9.8.0
Any idea how to activate full API support on the serial port?

You need to upgrade to CE9.8.1 for the serial port to work with "LoginRequired" set to "off".

There is a bug with the serial port access in CE9.8.0. See BugID CSCvq82380. As @JFerello said, it's fixed in CE9.8.1 with further fixes in CE9.9.0.
