Solved: Webex pro - interference in speakers when Proximity is turned on

As the title indicates, we have a problem with noise interference in external loudspeakers when Proximity is turned on. As soon as Proximity is turned of the noise is gone. We experience this in several rooms with the same configuration. Any theories?

Proximity utilises an Ultrasound signal as a beacon to enable the device to detect the codec. This sounds needs to come out of the audio system in the room, so any speakers or audio processors you are using will need to be able to support producing a signal in the region of 22kHz. If your speakers, or audio processors aren't fully capable of doing so, you can get some undesirable side effects and a pulsating noise which is likely what you are experiencing. You can set the Ultrasound Max Volume lower which may help, but if that doesn't help, you will either need to fix your room audio, or turn proximity off (as you have already found) to get rid of this audio anomaly.
