What Directory Should I Upload Firmware to On My TFTP Servers?

Hey All,

I'm about to do some firmware updates on my phones.  I downloaded the zip files with the firmware in them.  I'm going to CUCM OS Admin Software Upgrades -> TFTP File Management. I click the Upload File button. 

Is it okay to just upload the firmware without entering a directory?  Or is there a specific directory I should put the firmware files in?  It looks like all previous firmware was just uploaded with no directory, but I thought I'd double check to make sure that's okay.

You should generally install the COP file on each CUCM TFTP server using the software installation procedure, rather than just uploading directly. This will sort out the directories etc as well as change the default firmware version on the phones (you can change it back if you want to keep the old software as default).

Restart TFTP services when you're done.
