Hi Ahamad,

What your IOS version? You can check IOS compatibility matrix

with this link

I have same question

1841 has IOS v15.1.4., Does it means it supports voice - CME ?

Per IOS compatibility matrix

IOS v15.1.4 support  Cisco   Unified CME 8.6

1841 also has USB port, it has plenty of storage available and easy to add ram as well.

Is any way to make it CME work on 1841 ?

Very old IOS version do, without supporting any voice interface.

The Cisco realized the inconsistency, and removed it.

So, the answer is: No.

Which old version iOS supports  CME  for 1841 ?

Actually, I do not need analog voice interface, only need support ip phones

Even if you can find one that does, it is not a good idea to do that.

Instead, running CME on a router that supports it with current code will give you more features and better stability.

I got the old version to run old CME, the CME is small package only 6mb size, not as today CME 9.0 is over 300MB in size.

For all these Cisco ISR routers, 1841 is the one my favor to use, small foot print, easy to add RAM and flash, with USB as well.

Unfortunately, Cisco cuts off the voice features from this neat router, I have to use my the bigger one 2921 to do it

Please note that the full package size is due to inclusion many accessory files, while CME itself remains self-contained in the IOS image.

Actually, full-featured CME is also available on small routers like 880V-

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps380/data_sheet_c78_459542_ps380_Products_Data_Sheet.html

and, of course, on the 1861 and UC500.

Dear Paulo,

Was going through an old thread. I do have a self-made

clip of an old version of IOS supporting CME on 1841. Am attaching it to this thread.

I don't believe the 1841 will support any of the VWIC cards either.

Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPhone App

1841 supports VWIC card perfectly. it works great in WAN data.

Here is VWIC card in my 1841 in "show diag",

        WIC/HWIC Slot 1:

        VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 - 2-Port RJ-48 Multiflex Trunk - T1/E1

Thank you for the correction.  It was VIC's that are not supported on 1841 with VWIC in data only mode.
