EX90 not booting - screen blank

My EX90 screen went blank.

Unable to reset the device with below procedure.

1. Unplug the power cable.

2. Replug the power cable.

3. Press and hold the power button immediately when the green LED in the bottom

left corner lights up. Hold until the LED turns off and on again after approximately 10

seconds.

4. Release the power button, and press it twice within 2 seconds.

The Cisco TelePresence EX60/EX90 is now reset to factory defaults.

Is there a way, i can console in to EX devices. I yes, will i be able to execute this...

Hi Rameez,

Since TC 5, the procedure has slightly changed now. You will need to follow these steps to factory reset Ex90 :

1. When the unit is off (power must be plugged in), press and hold the power button

2. Wait until the power LED goes dark and then light up again (approximately 10 seconds).

3. Then release the power button and press it twice.

4. The system will boot up and display a confirmation message on the video screen if the process was successful.

Also, you can get the serial cable for the Ex90. This is a special cable and you will need to create it. Using the RJ 45 Maintenance port which is at the bottom of the Ex90, you would be able to console into it. For more details on the cable, please refer to :
