Problem with multicast and iptv

hi

I have two 6509's in location A. Mulitcasting is enabled on one of the 6509's. I am running pim spare mode and the rp is the above 6509. The multicasting application is IPTV.

The above 6509 has a gigabit layer 3 connectivity to our other location 25 miles away. All the channels work fine at the other location expect for one. What i mean is this one channel has bad reception at the remote location. Now its not the input as it plays at headquaters very well. Also if i rebuild the iptv group meaning it gets a new multicat ip address the problem moves to another channel. There is also no overlap in multicast mac address.

Any suggestions

A similar problem had occured with the quality of reception at the remote location being poor. There could be many reasons for this like the port channel or the IOS or CatOS running on the Cat6k. This was solved by upgrading the supervisor engine software release to version 5.5(6) and the software on MSFC was upgarded to version 12.1.5b.E7.
