sx20 cant see presentation when using HDMI to DVI adapter

I am running ce 8.2.2 Final on the SX20. So initially I had this problem and after doing some research on the CSC I was able to figure out that I had to switch the input from auto detect to digital. After doing this my laptop was able to send content and I wrote this problem off as fixed. Fast forward  to yesterday and I bought a Display port to HDMI adapter so I could hook up one of the dell desktops that litter the room to the SX20(DisplayPort=>HDMI=>DVI). The SX20 was still set to digital and couldnt/wouldnt see the PC. I removed the DP to HDMI adapter and plugged the HDMI into my laptop and again nothing. Now Im really confused because this was working fine a few months ago. This unit is installed in a cancer center and all the cables are ran through the walls and the sx20 is behind the huge wall mounted NEC screen. I will check under the peripherals tab next week while sending a good signal to troubleshoot.  I did the basics of changing resolutions and machines to attempt to narrow down the issue. Any other ideas on why this would all of a sudden not work.

For anyone who has this problem the fix is pretty simple or at least this version of the issue was. I wasn't convinced that it was the HDMI to DVI adapter because it was working initially, but after it was swapped out with a different one it worked flawless

So when you try to present content, do you see a black box where it should appear? Is the SX20 configured as a single or dual screen system?
SX20 comes with a DVI to HDMI cable, or if you have one around, try connecting it to the SX20 and to an HDMI capable laptop. The cables between the SX20 and laptop or a combination of the adapters could be the issue.
Another possibility is that the configuration changed on the codec.
