It's the first Funday Friday of July, and we are certainly in the summertime. Many of our colleagues are taking some time off, and the weather is warm in most places. Let's see what technological advances can do to make our summer great! Just as a note, I have not tried any of these products, so caveat emptor!
This seems like a great tool for many summertime adventures. The pictures taken by a camera in the case are shown in the Travel + Leisure article that referenced this case look pretty good, and yesterday, Dick's Sporting Goods had it listed for $10. Catch those memories at the pool or beach without worrying if your phone will be ruined!

It's warm at night, why not have your own movie theater on the side of your house? The Anker Nebula Apollo seems to do the trick! It's super portable and contains both a projector and a speaker. Maybe watch The Lost Boys or Endless Summer? What's your go-to summer movie?

My golf expertise is limited to mini golf, but this gadget caught my eye for you more serious golfers! The Arccos GEN3+ system includes sensors for your clubs and an app that uses GPS and AI to give you shot tracking, range finder, analytics, and other tools to help improve your game. Happy putting!

Hey you wave shredders, I know, surfing is hard. Boost Surfing is making things a bit easier though. This summer, they are releasing their Electric Surf Fin, which you can attach to your surfboard and get extra 20 pounds of thrust... totally stoked! While it's not quite available yet, sign up and get on the list!

It's been really hot across much of the northern hemisphere this summer. What better way to make sure you stay cool than a personal air conditioner! The Torras Coolify has been highly rated by both Popular Mechanics and Men's Health, and their Coolify 3 model seems like it would keep you cool in any heated situation. Time to chill out!

What summer list would be complete without talking about BBQ? This Traeger Timberline 1300 looks like it is possibly the top-of-the-line for high-tech barbeques. This unit can be controlled through a Wi-Fi connection to your phone. Fire it up!

If you're really enjoying a high-tech BBQ, you might remember Quinn Snyder's Snack Minute. His network-aware smoker uses streaming telemetry, open-source tooling, and some APIs to make a tasty summer feast. If you haven't seen it, enjoy!
Any technology making your summer better? Please share!
