Ability to create Active Directory accounts using Cisco Unity Administrator

I have inherited a Voice Mail Only Unity 4.0(4) system where the previous administrator configured during installation to not allow the Cisco Unity Administrator to add the Active Directory object type.

This is a single-box Voice Mail only solution and will continue to be so until the unforseeable future.

Is there any way to enable the ability of the Cisco Unity Administrator to add AD users after installation. Importing users is getting old.

Start by running the Permissins Wizard again to ensure the Unity directory service account has rights to create new users. Once that is done, run the Cisco Unity Message Store Configuration Wizard from Add/Remove programs. At the end it will give you the option to create from Unity or import only.
