Unfortunately different folks implement "standard" interfaces like AMIS (and TAPI and IMAP and SMDI and (insert published standard interface here)) differently. Yes, it should work (and probably does) but it hasn't be tested end to end and therefore can't be TAC supported. You can go through the "out of box" process to get this done - you can chat with your account team about how to go about that.
