Attendant Console and CUACE

Hello,

My client has CUCM 7.1.5 with basic Attendant Console (from Plugins). I am going to install CUACE. Do I have to clean up the configuration of current AC from CUCM before installing CUACE? Can I install CUACE and regular AC (Attendant Console) co resident in CUCM?

I want to make sure that CUACE is working fine before decommissioning AC.

Thank you,

Hamid

Hi Hamid,

Since, the design of newer attendant console is completely different from the one in CUCM as a plugin so, it should not matter, however, please ensure that the DNs you use while setting up the newer AC are not shared line thereby negating any slightest opportunity of the newer AC affecting production while being set up.

For your reference please find below the basic call flow in case of newer AC:

PSTN >>>GW or Trunk>>>CUCM>>>CTI Route point(controlled by AC)>>>CTI Gateway device>>>Operator's phone

for detailed information on this Please find below link to the related documentation;

Hello Tumul,

Thank you so much for complete answer to my question. The links that you mentioned are very useful.

After CUACE 9.1 integration with CUCM, I am going to upgrade the CUCM from ver 7.1.5 to 10.0.

As my client is using regular AC already, I was worried if CUACE installation delete or change the current configuration for AC. As you mentioned,  I will use a different DN for CUACE to minimize the conflict between two versions.

Regards,

Hamid

Hello Tumul,

I try to install CUACE 9.1 on Win 2008 (64 bit) and integrate it with CUCM 7.1.5.

Cisco document says that CUCM 7.1.5 supports CUACE 9.1, but CUACE is looking for CiscoTSPx64 and it cannot see it in CUCM 7.1.5.

Please let me know your recommendation.

Thank you,

Hamid

Hey Hamid,

I apologise for the delay!!

There are 2 ways to go about it:

1. We can install CUACEE version 9.1 on a windows server 2008 R1(32 bit) and  use the available TSP from CUCM 7.1.5

2. I remember you mentioned that you guys would be upgrading the CUCM to version 10 as well and and as per the current available documentation CUACEE 9.1 is supported only with CUCM 7.1.5 to 9.1.x so, you might need to upgrade CUACEE later on(Please verify the release notes for CUACEE version 9.1). Therefore, I would suggest you to go either for AC Advanced version 10 or AC standard version 10 straight away form future perspective. Please find the related documentation below:
