Hello all
I have a UCM 8.0 and I have 7962's, 7965's, 42's, 45's
I have the background image working on on the phones, no problem
my question is is there a way for you to setup the custom image to be loaded by deafult ? instead of going settings > user settings > background images, and select the png file ?
thank you

No, there is no way to configure a default image to be loaded.
And there are really no easy ways to change it in bulk, you can search CSC and find some suggestions on doing that if you're interested.

As Java says there isn't a default method. I heard a rumor about this being added at some point to the Cisco Phone Designer. Though I haven't seen any confirmation and if Java isn't aware of it, then it is likely not there.
Anyway, I researched this a while back and I found an application that may help. I also played around with a way to script it yourself. My notes on the topic are provided here:

Bill,
I haven't heard of that new capability but let me do some research on Monday and see if there's something behind that rumor.

Bill,
Apparently that's just a rumor you heard, I couldn't find anything about this.
