Hi All,
Does anybody know if there's any way to set a call-forward destination *from the phone handset* with a Cisco 7821 (SIP) attached to Communications Manager Express?
The official documentation states that the feature is not supported for this phone:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/manual/cmeadm/cmetrans.html#c_B2BUA
(and indeed it does not work [slow busy as soon as a digit is pressed after hitting the softkey], and in looking for a workaround the standard FAC codes for this function appear only to apply to SCCP phones.)
b2bua call fowarding works as expected when configured manually on the router, and indeed the LCD on the phone updates with the call-forwarding destination, but it's still impossible to set/unset call forwarding using the softkey.
I tried contacting TAC, but they simply explained that the feature is not supported.
I feel like there must be *some* way to set (or enable/disable) call forwarding from the handset, or this is a pretty big oversight. Does anyone out there have experience with the current Cisco 78XX SIP phones on CME? If so, I'd love to have your input.
Thanks,
~Matthew
