Hi,

We have Cisco BE6000 Medium Density Server (BE6K-ST-BDL-K9) in which Cisco Business Edition 6000 - Software App Version 9.X 10.X was install, due to some power issue all hard drive in the server gone faulty. We have replaced all those hard drive and configured RAID in it. Now we have to installed Esxi virtual machine, BE6000 setup & activate all licenses in it.

Please let me know does it possible to install these setup or we have to sent this equipment to cisco factory for repair/replacement?

If its possible then please do let me know if cisco has any document to install Esxi & BE 6000 setup? and from where we can download these setup file, i've searched for these file on cisco website but couldn't get it.

Your valuable feedback on this shall be much appreciated.

FE means Field engineer so that someone can visit your premises and resolve the issue. You purchase that on top of Smartnet Contract, your contract does not have that facility

Hi Vishal,

Please check the following

Thanks Manish for your information.

I've gone through with given link, We don't have these media DVD's which came along with Server, in this case can you please guide how do we install factory Firmware and Software? from where we will get these installation media ISO files?

You should contact your local Cisco contact in this case.

Manish

Yes deepak all software was pre loaded. can you guide how to copy these from data store? so we can do it for other BE hardware.

Does Cisco TAC help us to resolve this issue remotely or we need to send this equipment back to cisco for repair/replacement?

Go to the data store, find the ISO and then simply save it to your Desktop. It is like any save operation you do, nothing technical at all

TAC assist remotely only unless you have paid for the FE contract. If TAC during the t/s found the equipment is faulty and need RMA, they will then send you a replacement after which you can contact them again and ask for assistance with installation, configuration etc

Many thanks Deepak for your very useful information.

Just one Q what does FE contract means? we have SMARTNET 8X5XNBD (CON-SNT-BE6KSTBD) contract for this product, does FE & Smartnet contract are same?

Contact TAC for the same, you will not get bootable images on CCO. In an ideal situation, when you order BE6K or 7K since the images come pre installed in the data store and not in the form of DVD or soft link, you should copy them to some other place as well (infact to multiple places) but now since you have not done it, contact TAC
