I am using the cucm 8.0.2 demo version in the lab environment. I have installed the all the files required to use cisco mobile 8.0 with cucm 8,
when i enter the information about the device(TCT_PHONE) and TFTP server address, (192.168.2.44), i am just getting the error "could not connect to the server." I am on the same network, i can open the cucm homepage from my iphone.
Any help plz?
Thanks

Hi,
Cisco Mobile 8.0 uses SIP Protocol (opening cucm webpage from iPhone is port 80/8443, SIP is 5060 TCP). If it says "could not connect to server" it is most likely that there is network connectivity or DNS issue. To troubleshoot where the issue is in the network pls try the following -
1) If hostname is used to connect to call manager pls try IP address of cucm
2) Try doing a packet capture on cucm (on cucm CLI - "utils network capture file cucm size all count 100000000" to start capture and CTRL+C to stop capture). You can download the capture file using RTMT by selecting "packet capture log". Then use wireshark (www.wireshark.org) to open the capture file and filter by iPhones IP Address or better just filter by "sip". Please make sure you are connecting via wifi not 3G during the test.
3) Alternative to step (2) is to take "Cisco Call Manager Log" in detailed level with all check boxes checked for the Trace settings in callmanager.
Hope the above helps.
Thanks

Thank you Brother, you were right SIP port was blocked in my wireless router. I have dd-wrt custom firmware and I have no idea that it can block all the ports. Thank you once again.
