Cisco Unity Connection - Hardware Setup Error

Hello,

I am seeing a strange message on some Unity servers after an upgrade. We're currently running 11.5, previously running 9.2. I have uploaded a screenshot of the error, but I can't identify what hardware settings are incorrect or where. The VMs running these servers have more then the required CPU and memory, and once we continue past the error screen, we have no issues with operation that we can identify.

I looked for a possible bug for this issue, but haven't come accross anything yet.

Does anyone have any good ideas about where else I can look to try to idenify what is causing this error to present itself?

Thanks in advance for any insight on this,

-Kevin

Did you use proper Cisco OVA template to deploy the original UCXN?  When you upgraded to version 10.5 did you adjust the VM setting such as RAM, Linux OS version, vNIC type, etc. as required by version 10.5? Were any VM settings modified?

We are on version 11.5, not 10.5. I'll have to check with the team that performed the upgrade to see what changes, if any, were made to the VM.

I see requirements for CUC VMs as far as Memory, Proc. speed, and HDD space. I don't see anything referencing vNIC type however. If you can point me in the direction of doucmentation on that, I would be grateful.

How did you resolved this issue?

We have not resolved this yet.

It looks to be behavior caused by upgrading the VMs we stood up using the 9.1 OVA templates.

That is our case as well.

Issue was resolved by installing VM Tools on CUCM.
