CME7 Extension Mobility Config

Hi,

im trying to configure extension mobility in cme 7 but i dont understand what a few of the parameters are that are shown in the cme admin guide. where alot of them are said to be optional and i dont configure them, the system doesnt work???

would it be ok if someone could please help me. check my config and give me some advice on tidying up my config please?

also, when i assign a seconf number to the second line on a users EM profile it doesnt appear on the phone?

and, can someone please explain how i would configure "dummy DN's" on the IP phones when they are logged out?

any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,

The phone DNs when logged out will use the DN configured under voice logout profile and when logged in, the phone will use the user profile DNs

thanks for that.

so does that mean that if i have 40 physical IP Phones i must configure 40 voice logout-profiles and assign each voice logout-profile to a physical IP phone?

can i not have only 1 voice logout-profile with 40 DN's and they automatically get assigned to a phone?

Good thinking

Yes you can use the same logout profile for more than one phone

No need to create a 40 logout profile for each 40 phone

Like this you'll have the DN 5003 on the 40-ephones
