Hi Forum,
My company is using the Cisco phone system.
We are using Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 (v. 3.5.6907.37) with Cisco UC Integration(TM) for Microsoft Office Communicator (v. 7.1.3)
On my laptop, i'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, 32 bit version.
When i try to make a call with CUCIMOC, I get an error, saying "Phone Error. Could not place call because you have no audio device or sound card."
See attached image.
I'we seen similar posts about windows 7, but that was with the 64 bit version. I'm running 32 bit.
How can i fix this, so i can use my phone?

Hi
The following links should help.
CUCIMOC official suport is coming in "Version 8.0 FCS Q2CY10".
Other threads also talking about Windows 7 support are here https://communities.cisco.com/message/24612#24612
Some people may have got this to work, however not officially supported. There are threads on this community for example here https://communities.cisco.com/message/24199#24199
Thanks,
ashish

Hi Ashish
And thank you for your reply.
I was unable to get this link (https://communities.cisco.com/message/24199#24199). Probably cause i dont have access to that part of cisco's secret treasure chest.
Have to be a rocket scientist before you get access to anything but the welcome page.
Anyways
Thanx.

Hello,
I can't get to https://communities.cisco.com/message/24199#24199 either.
Any chance someone who can access the thread could give us mortals a quick summary on the work around.
I realise it won't be supported, but I need to get CUCIMOC working with Windows 7 32 bit ASAP.
Thanks in advance
John

Hi
Again I have to caveat this that CUCIMOC Windows 7 support is still coming as per the URLs above. TAC will not support you until after then.
The link is part of the partner community. Hence you probably can't access them.
Your experience may vary but this is what the poster said in short.
"I used the procedure at the link below to resolve the issue. I now have the client installed and working properly on Windows 7 (although this problem also occurred on my Vista machine). There must be some software that I am running that modified registry permissions as I had started with a clean install of Windows 7.
