We are planning to upgrade our system from CUCM 7.2 to the latest UCS. I need help in determining whether these are possible:
- For 300 users, is UCS 220 server the right box?
- Is there a way I can reuse the CUCM license with the new UCS?
- Do I need to buy VMware licenses? If so, which one? Will a normal VMware license work?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

For UCS C220 I would suggest to go for the latest M4 series.

- Yes UCS C220 is the right server size.
- Yes you - can migrate your CUCM server licenses. You will need to liaise with licensing team: licensing@cisco.com.
- Yes you will need VMware licenses. You should be look that up in CCW if you are a Cisco partner, otherwise you can request a quote from your partner. VMware licenses bought directly should work as well.
